Nazukin Embankment — the main embankment of Balaklava. Along the many piers, with stunning views of Balaklava Bay and mount Castron with the ruins of the Cembalo fortress.
Due to the peculiarity of the Balaklava Bay (there are no storms in it), the embankment was almost at the same level with the water until 2004. On the 2600th anniversary of Balaklava, the embankment was paved with modern paving stones, and it rose slightly above the sea.
The embankment is named in honor of the submariner Ivan Andreevich Nazukin, who in 1917 headed the Revolutionary Committee, later the Balaklava Council, and during the German occupation led the Bolshevik underground. Most of the houses on the embankment and on the neighboring streets of Balaklava were built in the late 19th — early 20th century. Some buildings on the nazukina embankment are designed in the Spanish Renaissance style. At the end of the embankment of nazukina is the city beach, which is separated from the General bustle by a stone wall.
Like any Central street, the embankment of Nazukin is filled with various places for entertainment. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants for guests to have a great time.
