After the end of the great Patriotic war, a square called “Lenin Komsomol Square”was laid out on the little – built-up Lenin street (formerly Catherine street). It begins at Suvorov square with the snow-white Corinthian rotunda, created during the post-war reconstruction of the city in 1953. Architects of post-war Sevastopol used antique motifs in the new architecture of the city, linking it with the history of ancient Chersonesos.

Now this gazebo is now in the square of Internaitional-soldiers – one of the most favorite recreation places of Sevastopol residents of all ages. Its observation deck offers a beautiful view of the southern Bay, Lazarevsky barracks and the Ship side of Sevastopol.
