The name of the Luzhniki sports complex is known not only in our country, but all over the world. This is one of the largest sports and concert venues. The large Luzhniki arena is really very large — it is designed for almost 80,000 spectators. In addition to the largest sports competitions she’s seen a lot of interesting events. Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Scorpions and other world stars performed here. From here, the opening of the 6th and 12th world festival of youth and students was broadcast to the entire planet. Rallies in defense of Russian democracy were held here in 1989. In 2002, UEFA awarded this stadium the status of an elite stadium, and in 2018 it hosted the FIFA world Cup. In addition to the big arena, Luzhniki has one hundred and forty different structures, including sports arenas, courts, swimming pools (including the largest in the country), a hotel, and a sports Museum. The huge flower garden “Recognition of eternity” on the Central Avenue was even included in the Guinness book of records: 35,000 plants bloom simultaneously on 3000 square meters of land. It is also surprising that the complex was built in 1956 in record time — just 450 days. Since then, it has been regularly rebuilt, restored, and re-equipped, and remains the center of Moscow’s sports and cultural life.
